I would like to introduce to you what I think is the sexiest 3d printer on the market.. “Bee Very Creative” Showcasing for the first time at the 3d Print Show. Bee 3d printer is a Portuguese based company that only launched in September, it is amongst the new 3d printers that was at the event in london at the Business Design Centre at Angel.
It look me by surprise as looking very different. Most 3d printers you see are shaped like a cube, This one however, is more of a PC tower shape. 40 x 40 x 14 cm and weighing at 9.5 kg. The build volume is 190mm x 135mm x 125mm at 100 microns (0.01 microns) – this being at the highest resolution which is almost a standard with most 3d printers now-a-days. low resolution at 300 microns
White acrylic is bent around the round corners of the 3d printer hides all the structure inside and still looks sturdy with a metal from and back panel. This to me gives its appeal – being simplistic.
The staff at the show was very polite and enthusiastic I had a few conversations with some of them and was very impressed. One of the freebies was “beescuits” a 3D stencil was printed and used to cut out the shape of the bee logo. pretty awesome and yummy – I am eating it as I type.
just for fun here are the ingredients: wheat, flour, sugar, butter, honey, egg, baking powder and cinnamon and was made in Portugal. =)
